Michigan State University Graduate School Admission Results

Finally after weeks of anxiety and sleeplessness, I received my first admit for MS in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. Neither my top priority nor my safest bet, but it's the one I would happily attend.

Accepted without funding. It was mentioned in the email that master's students are usually not offered funding

Email from the director. I've got admissions from other places and made up my mind weeks ago that I wasn't going to accept even if the offer comes in. I wish they had told me sooner as this was such a long, dreading wait for no reason. I guess in a way their late rejection didn't hurt at all because I got admissions from programs I really like. I wasn't going to apply to other programs if I had got the admission in January, but I think I might end up going to the one I applied in February. So my two cents is I hope everyone takes enough time to think before they make a final decision. I hope someone who really fits in the program and wants to go there got the opportunity!

Applied for archaeology

The BMS first notified me of admission via email. I was then handed a printed admission letter in-person at a recruiting event on the same day.

Emailed for update, all acceptances / waitlists have been sent out. Rejections are still being processed

Any news from the Program?

I applied to the HDFS program, received a rejection email with a Word document attached, and then received an email after the rejection email to check my portal, where the same rejection email was provided as my status update. 3.8 undergrad GPA/3.9 masters gpa. No GRE. No interview, just reject. Interesting since I have been accepted into other HDFS/HDFR programs from higher caliber institutions.
