predicted, not a great fit

Canadian student. Got an enthusiastic email informing me I have been admitted into the program. Expecting another email tomorrow or Friday outlining funding offers/possibilities. Good GPA, though not absolutely fantastic (3.8). Very solid references though.

Just got an e-mail from Admissions, "decisions will be released after March 20th. If you are put on waitlist, you will not get a final decision until mid-April". Just got acceptance letters from University of Melbourne and University of Sydney. McGill was my first option, but I'm afraid waiting until April will reduce my chances of getting a scholarship in any of the three Unis.

Those who got through McGill Pol. Science Masters, did you receive any information on funding? Has the web status changed?

International applicant. Got in with no published papers and a 2.8 cgpa. So excited!!!No word on funding yet.

International (African), under 30, with Merit Masters in Law from top 10 U.K university. 3 years relevant work experience. Was hoping for direct offer + funding. Shocked to be wait-listed. Will have to wait a month to hear if anyone has dropped/ rejected offer.

Received email instructing me to check online system. Refused, no reason given. Pretty surprised to get flat refusal as my CGPA is over 90, but it's okay. Good luck to everyone else!

To the one who has got an official letter from Mcgill, has your status changed on Uapply? Was the letter from GPS or the department? Any word on funding?

Has anyone on the waiting list heard back? All I know is that it works by subfield. Does anyone know something else about the waiting list? (Number of people, decisions, etc)

No, i haven't heard back yet. When did you get waitlisted and what is your subfield? Mine is development studies... I'm losing hope...

Yes..only uottawa (heard they have a very good program) and I was accepted. It was my first choice but I'm not sure anymore. Where you from?
