Applied to EPFL for the second time. First time in the systems track. Second time in a database. 1 year experience in quant finance. UG in CS at an Ivy. Two academic research experiences. Idk. It is what it is.

1 First author publication from good journal, 2 Not first author.

Had 4 publications in top conferences (Systems). Undergrad and Master's from university ranked 200-300. No interviews as well. It is what it is.

Strong motivation letter, no-name American university, 1 great and 2 okay LoRs, no GRE.

not sure how to feel. a bit disappointed cuz this was my top program, but need to move on.

No research exp, non CS-major, 2 years work ex in distributed computing, strong LORs and SOP

No scholarship. non-EU student

Didn't get the scholarship, not sure if I will be able to attend

1.14/1.0 GPA from LMU Munich in Germany, Deutschlandstipendium recipient. No GRE submitted. I don't know why this year has been like this, my dreams have been shattered.

Got rejected while I have a number of relevant publications and reach experience. I have information by some of my friends and seems like admission committee looks only at the name of university where you studied.
