Toefl 100/120, diploma with distinction, work experience at a startup and a museum. No publications, although I participated in a local conference once and an ML summer school. Didn't receive the excellence scholarship.

Chinese bachelor's in computer science. 1-year research experience at an EPFL lab. Several pubs. Probably decent LoRs. Also got admitted to DS and CS master's at ETHz.

Strong motivation letter, no-name American university, 1 great and 2 okay LoRs, no GRE.

not sure how to feel. a bit disappointed cuz this was my top program, but need to move on.

International student (univ best in country, top 100-150 QS overall), GPA 4.98/5.0 pure math programme, TOEFL ibt 104/120, no GRE, 1 international conf publication, 3 homeregion conf publications (all in prob.theory and statistics), 1 Data Science internship in homecountry, 1 Data Science internship in big international company, 3 recommendational letters (employer + prof. in uni + prof from research institute)

Top 2% in bachelor's program, three strong letters of recommendation, decent motivation statement, two years of work experience, strong extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Came from a top 100-150 European university. No news yet for scholarship.

Italian undergraduate, 30/30 GPA, some research experience

Biomedical Engineering background, 200-300 university rank, 1 ML internship and project , 3 LOR (one strong)

No research exp, non CS-major, 2 years work ex in distributed computing, strong LORs and SOP
