No funding

Just received an email says that application just starts to be under review, and it will still take about 4-6 weeks for the result. Anyone else got this?

To the post below. Yeah me too, I just got notified that it is currently under review . I though the final decision would come out, such a long wait.

I emailed econgfa@cornell.edu and received a formal rejection within the hour

To the person who posted about waitlist from Cornell: Did the department informed you that you are waitlisted?

I had not received any notification about my application so I emailed the department and it was forwarded it to the professor I was intending on studying under. He called me saying I was on the list of students that would be accepted once funding is secured (delayed due to the government shutdown freezing all gov spending ie NSF).

Offered MS track program, but have already been admitted to other schools, so will be declining

Was first on the waitlist and got the official offer today! 5 years of Funding guaranteed! Keep hope for those of y'all on the waitlist!

Applied in round 2. In the application portal, the current status is "under review". Haven't received any interview invite either till now. Anyone else in a similar situation?? Should i just assume that i have been rejected?? Could someone please kindly throw some light on this?

Applied Round 2. Received email that application is "under review" on 3/5. It's still "under review"...status unchanged. No interview invite, either. Emailed admissions...no response. I have 7 yrs work exp in industry. Unsure what's going on...

Received invite for technical Assessment because some of the courses I took in college did not meet their standard

To the post below: how are they going to do the technical assessment? did they mention that? Will it be a technical interview or an online coding test??

Perhaps we need to wait until Apr 16 to see things move on. But is that possible to get offer after Apr 15???

TPB: yes schools make offer after April 15th or so I heard from quite reliable sources

Were all the rejected posters below were referred to the MS program?

Recieved Columbia's incomplete online application e-mail in April ..... Does this mean that my application has not been considered for review yet and will be rejected ?

I am pretty sure that no notification is a rejection at this point.
