also have heard nothing from them. I plan on emailing them and trying to get a refund of my application fee because this is ridiculous

So it's grad day and it looks like no one's heard anything from Columbia...? Can anyone confirm being accepted or rejected...?

(Ignore Waitlist) To the person talking about the application portal showing Columbia UNI and PID, I too saw the same message on my portal on April 9 and was wondering what it meant. When I checked the portal after a few hours, that statement vanished. I think what I saw was a technical glitch. But I agree, no status update from Columbia is causing frustration. Time to accept another offer I guess.

TTPB: Have you received a response yet? If so, what was the outcome?

(Ignore Waitlist) I have a question. "Columbia UNI and PID: In the coming week, you will receive a Lionmail UNI and a PID number. We apologize for the delay." I found this on the application portal today and I don't know since when this was added on the portal (the status is still "submitted"). I've not yet received any contact about the admission, even though I sent an email asking my status to the Office of Graduate Admission 2 weeks ago (only an automatic reply came to me). I think they'll give me a Columbia (Lionmail) account, does anyone know about this? Why are they giving me an account now (after 4 months from the application)? Is it highly likely that they'll give me an admission offer? This is very important to me because I've already received an admission offer from another school, but Columbia has a higher ranking, so I have max. 5 days to consider before the acceptance deadline, Apr 15.

Got email telling me to check account for decision, saw rejection letter on account page.

[ignore interview] UBC was really slow this year and I think they just started sending out the first round of official admissions. The deadline to respond is April 15th for the first round of offers so there might be another round of offers around that date (ik.. so late)

(ignore WL) To the person accepted to the Medical Physics program. Were you on the waitlist or did you directly receive an acceptance e-mail? Since it's almost April I kinda assumed that there's no chance of getting accepted at this point.

To the person below, I am also still waiting.. do you know anyone who got anything from them??

Has anyone heard back from Columbia this month (march)?

Sent an email to the gradschoool. The person in charge forwarded it to another person. He said that “ ...given your ranking in the pool, it is very unlikely that you will be offered a position...”. A little harsh tbh. CMT

We have recently sent our first round of offers. Unfortunately, you were not among them, and given your ranking in the pool, it is very unlikely that you will be offered a position. I'm sorry for giving you the bad news. Jeremy Ask to her she is kind. Good luck to all who got accepted. I think Canada is not for me.

Rejected after emailing the grad coordinator. Math and Physics undergrad, GPA: 3.99/4. Two summers of research experience, and multiple awards in Math and Physics. Statement of Intent probably could have been better.

Was kind of expecting it, but still waiting to hear back from other programs. I remain undiscouraged.

Something about although I'm a unique candidate they couldn't accept me. No mention about how many students taken.

(ignore waitlist) TTPB: maybe others have more info, but I tried emailing 2 weeks ago, and they sent an automated response that included "The review process typically requires 6-8 weeks after the priority deadline date for a decision to be provided." As if it hasn't already been 13 weeks...
