Sociology, Columbia University Let me add that the committee had to pick 14 applicants out of a pool of 280, so you can see that it was extremely competitive. Unfortunately, this year because of the financial crisis we had less slots to offer (normally we accept 20). Damn it!

Teaching Of English, Columbia University, Teachers College Email saying to check the website. Accepted to the EdD in Teaching of English at Columbia TC. I applied for a PhD in English Education, but they felt my application was better suited to the EdD program. I am fine with that since I went back and forth on which program to apply to anyway! No word on funding.
