CUNY Hunter College Mental Health Counseling Graduate School Admission Results

TPB: I interviewed with CUNY last week. I have not heard back yet. They told me they wanted to send decisions early this week. I am guessing that they are first sending offers that include Graduate Center Fellowships.

TPB: when did CUNY interview you? Also has anyone else heard back after interviews? Thanks

Received an acceptance letter with GCF offer from Prof. Giannikos. Very excited to pursue my studies at CUNY.

Rejected from waitlist, email from program admissions co-chairs saying that all offers had been sent out and they will not be able to offer me admission. Sad because this was my top choice

This was the hardest of all. Wait so long for a generic email.

CUNY, this is unacceptable. Y'all waited until the end of the cycle to reject me. Get your shit together and notify your applicants earlier than this.

why did they take so long to reject me?

I'm the same poster as below (and in the forums) - just posting that I formally accepted the offer (for JF's lab)! Feel free to DM with any questions :) (did not turn down any other acceptances at this time, but will be removing myself from waitlists at EMU and VCU)

Rejected off the waitlist, I'm disappointed but might try again next year!

Notification of the only spot being filled. "I am writing to let you know the one offer we were able to make this year has been accepted. In a normal year you would have been admitted as well; this year you were first on our very short waiting list." So close!

CUNY is my top choice. If anyone received an offer and planning to decline, I would appreciate it if they do right away.

I had my first interview with CUNY this week. They asked about my other offers and the likelihood that I would accept an offer from CUNY. I told them that even if my other waitlists turned into acceptances, I would probably accept an offer from CUNY. They said that want to send out acceptances early the week of 4/5.
