Rejected, but asked if I wanted to be considered for a Masters

No GRE submitted

Offer letter mentioning complete tuition fee remission and a teaching assistantship annual salary of nearly $ 23,000 was received shortly after a brief virtual talk with the Graduate Selection Committee Chair.

Received a partially funded offer with no fee remission, need to show around $14,000 annually from personal funding.

Emailed grad director last week for update, received an email saying "Your application is under consideration by our graduate committee. There is possibility that we may be able to make more offers. We will notify you within a week or two. " Received the offer today.

However, the Admissions Committee was impressed by the quality of your application and would like to ask if you are interested in being considered for our Master of Arts or Master of Science in Mathematics program. If you are interested in being considered by the Admissions Committee, please respond to this email by April 19th and indicate whether you would like to be considered for the Master of Arts or Master of Science degree. Please note that Master's admissions is rolling and that the class may be filled by April 19th, so we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible.

I have emailed them about the status. They said only 10 positions available and around 200 people applied.

If you have an offer from a high priority (than RPI) school, please kindly decline your offer at RPI as soon as you are able to. This will definitely help some of us. Thanks.

Disregard waitlist. Has anyone hear back form them? I contacted the graduate program coordinator and they say that the committee is still reviewing the applications, but it's already April..

Ignore waitlist. Has anyone heard back from UC Davis? I got an email saying they're still reviewing apps so I'm wondering how some people actually got a waitlist notification. Who did you contact?

If you are accepted to RPI and don't plan on going. Please kindly decline your offer. This is my only and the last hope. Thanks a lot!!
