Computer Science PhD Graduate School Admission Results

EECS PhD offers are all sent out. Berkeley does not have a waitlist. If you didn't receive anything, your formal rejection email is on the way.

[TTPB] : Had a strong interview too, but didn't receive anything yesterday. I spoke to my POI, and while he didn't have access to the full details himself (about adcom's decisions), he mentioned it's likely to be bad news if we haven't received anything yet. If anyone has more concrete info, by all means share. Otherwise, rejected after interview - Exhibit A. F in the chat.

TTPB: Oxford - VGG Could you share when you applied and your profile ? (also do you apply to cs or engineering science ? )

I applied to vision, got interview by someone from outside the group. Seems like interviews don't have to be POIs mentioned in the SOP.

Are the Berkeley admits coming all at the same time? Area: CV, has a pretty good interview, interviewer said decision would come out in March (but the person wasn't on the committee). If I don't get an email today (haven't got one yet), does that mean reject?

TTPB - Could you share your area and whether you had an interview before?

Got an email from the department that a decision has been made and that I should login to the portal to check. The portal had the decision letter with the offer. No point of contact was mentioned. Deadline for making the decision is April 15, 2021. Good luck to everyone!

Unofficial acceptance from PI!!!

Just finished interview with the PI I'm interested in. The PI is not in my application list, but I email the PI on Jan 28, and she sent me an interview invitation on Jan 29. Very casual chatting for the interview, lasted for 15min. Final result will come out in two weeks. Three questions: Tell a lit bit about yourself and what's your plan after graduation? Asked about a related research project. What related courses you have taken and which is the most challenging one for you?

I have no idea if admissions are rolling or not. It seems like they gave out acceptances on both the 2nd and the 3rd, though, so it doesn't look like they're supposed to all come out at the same time.

Did anyone get an interview from the Vision group (SVL)?

Is UW Madison doing rolling admissions or do they usually all come out at once?

I guess the interview was quite neutral. I was told that decision will be out in a couple of weeks.

I emailed Tom Hurst and he replied: "We hope to have PhD decisions out in late February, early March. " Note: I applied for MS in CS, not sure why he replied for PhD decision.
