Rejected without an interview. Here is the email: Today we are writing to inform you that our PhD admissions decisions have been made and the applicants we have selected for admission to the PhD program have been notified. Admission to our program is very competitive, and we received many good applications; unfortunately, we have to limit the number of students we admit. At this time, we do not anticipate extending further offers of admission to the CS PhD graduate program for Fall 2021. If for any reason that changes, we will contact you. If you applied for "PhD or Masters" then you will hear from us again around the end of March / beginning of April regarding your Masters application.

Has anyone here applied for the Accelerate program for Scientific discovery in the Cambridge computer science department? It is a new program accepting grad students for the first time this year. I had an interview on 13th Jan. Haven't heard back since

Got TA offer. Several publications in my intended research field (Machine Learning).

TTPB sorry about the rejection. Just curious, which robot did you work on?

BSc and MSc from international, unknown uni. 2 first-author top-tier publications + 1 unrelated publication. 4x excellent LORs, 2 from well-known profs. Rejected after interview.

AI/ML. BSc (bad GPA) and MSc (good GPA) from international, unknown uni. 2 first-author top-tier publications + 1 unrelated publication. 4x excellent LORs, 2 of them from well-known profs. POI reached out and asked me to apply.

My POI emailed, saying I have not made the initial cut :) Profile : Research Internships in top-10 Institutes USA and the best university India. 1 CORE A* paper, 1 CORE A paper, 2 in review CORE A* conferences, 2 normal papers. Worked on building some of the most famous robots in the world. Undergrad from a top private college in India. First Decision of the season and here it goes :)

No interview

Ttpb: Are all the admits out?

Research area: Theory. Two papers in B/C rated conference. Was interviewed by adcom member in Jan. Don't know if my interview contributed to the rejection.

Expected. Undergrad isn't CS but did double major. CS-only GPA is probably a little below 3.0 actually. MSCS GPA is 3.9/4.0. Two publications: one as 3/4 authors in IJCAI and one as 2/8 authors in EMNLP workshop. Even if this year's application pool wasn't as competitive my profile probably isn't strong enough for acceptance. Planning to strengthen it and apply again in the future.

Guys whoever gets accepted or rejected please do write their profile, it will help get closure and understand the admission process better. CGPA, Work EX, Research Ex., Research paper, Journal international or not, extracurricular activity, social service etc.

1 top-tier ML conference paper, 1 top-tier journal paper in intelligent transportations, 1 strong LoR, 2 good LoR (one of whom has personal connections with one of the professors I wrote on my SoP), 2.5 years work exp.

4 published papers, 2+ years research experience, member of band, started an honors society at my uni.
