Generic rejection email sent to a group of students! It seems like a trap for getting application fee. They don't even accept any international student, havn't seen any!

I haven't heard from CMU yet for my application for a PhD in CS (Systems Track). Can anybody say if I will be notified? Is there any chance for an admit? Does CMU notify about rejection to every applicant?

Same question as poster below (security and systems field). Anyone from the previous terms know if they do send out rejects?

To the posters asking about CMU rejection mail. Yes, CMU sends out a rejection email. If you are not getting the rejection then it can be because your application was not submitted on time. It can be either due to late online payment/submission or if one or more of your recommenders had not submitted their letter(s) on time, i.e. the deadline (10th Dec 2018). Hope this helps.

No funding. I wouldn't accept the offer even with funding.

Checked the portal and it was updated with the acceptance letter. Interviewed in late January, Area: Robotics

To the reply provided to previous my query on CMU CS PhD - I have been interviewed by a faculty from systems research. So I guess my application seems complete. Only that after the interview I haven't received any other intimation.
