To posts below: Austin usually handles application in early Jan. They have already made internal decision now and offers would be sent out in late Jan. If you didn't hear from austin, it should be a strong signal that you're not on the list.

Just finished interviewing.

Interview with prof. Admission is departmental but POI can accept candidates directly. 5 pubs (2 first author). 1 pending to top conference. 1 internship. 5 years combined research exp (NSF REU/RA). Strong LORs from NASA/CERN/Distinguished profs.

LTI Ph.D rejected - notification from professor.

CMU poster below: how did you know of this? Was it from a professor you had contacted beforehand?

To the question asking person below - I am at CMU as a masters in Language Technologies student and got this info speaking with potential advisor

To posts below: Not everyone is interviewed, please are accepted without interviews. UT Austin releases CS PhD admits in late January (next week). I was not contacted by them, I have applied to Computer Vision/ML.

To the poster below: Did you get acceptance from professor or get an official offer? And can you please tell your research field?

Has anyone applied to the robotics field received any interview yet?

2 publications, 2 years research experience in relevant field. Got Department Fellowship for 1 year + RA for 4 years.

To the UGA PhD CS accepted below, did you receive any funding? I received an unofficial letter with offer of admission. No funding information.
