Computer Science PhD Graduate School Admission Results

Summer@EPFL student, 2 recommendations from people at the lab. Grades are really bad though (think this has a huge influence at EPFL, based on the interns they had over the summer as well). One paper on it's way and a project I'm still collaborating with them.

Prof didn't tell me whether I got in or not, cause he's not allowed to. People who say otherwise are just fooling themselves and trying to spread uncertainty :) Brace for the real emails guys!

Alma mater. Received at 2:58. 1 publication at a major conference. Significant prior research with faculty at UT. Successful in important competition in the field.

First school I've heard back from, very excited

Yes, I got the notification from grad-ap too. From India, CS area.

Got an acceptance email. 4 publications including 1 top-tier conf. (2nd author) and 1 top-tier journal (1st author). Also have a lot of research experiences. No contact.

I just received a phone call from a professor I mentioned in my SOP. It caught me completely off guard, but I think it went well. She said they are calling the top candidates and will make a decision soon. Fingers crossed!

Theory, no publications

The posters so far with CS Ph.D admits from Austin, UIUC and UCSD etc, are there any international applications with admits yet?

International applicant, 4 first-authored publications, 1 first-authored paper in submission and 1 co-authored publication, all top conferences/journal. No interview.

Admit from Deep RL group at UCB. Couldn't be any happier.

Contacted by two professors to join their research groups. Skype Interview on 25th January.

Direct PhD(without publication), accepted with 1-year fellowship

Had two phone interviews. One of them was not in the POI list. Have 3 recent publications in top tier conferences, 2 of them as first author. Three years of related industry experience.
