Had prior experience in the area of research. Had prolonged interactions with Professor about the research topic. Accepted with full funding.

Ph.D. in Bio-informatics. Average gpa, average GRE and TOEFL. Waiting for results of Universities of California though.

Notified me to check portal through email. :'(

Had a Skype interview with potential adviser. Results should follow soon. Have my fingers crossed!

Got an email to check portal. Generic email: "Please be aware that the applications for admission this year are particularly strong..."

"While your qualifications are excellent, we are unable to admit you into our program at this time. However, because your academic record is strong, our Graduate Admissions Committee has recommended that your name be placed on a waiting list for acceptance." If any of you have an admit, but won't attend, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reject it!

Master's degree in physics with emphasis in computational physics. Bachelor's degree in physics with a minor in CS. Physics GRE: 770. Two publications in computational physical chemistry. Experience with CUDA/GPU. (Declined offer)

Received an email reminder from the financial aid office to submit documents. But I have heard absolutely nothing about my admission. Checked my portal, but there's been no change. Any advice? Should I just contact the department?

Got accepted in my first preference so doesn't matter

No words on funding though.

Had a brief Skype chat with POI who told me that my application was hanging because of lack of funding. Gave me the good news and I received letter a few hours later. Worked very hard for this. Excited!

I was accepted without an interview, but later had one to discuss the possibility of an RA/TA position.
