Economics PhD Graduate School Admission Results

TPB: I got waitlisted on Feb 18 via email from Mattias Polborn (via Kathleen Finn). Their email suggested weakly that they'd already figured out admits, but I haven't seen anyone post here about it so maybe they haven't. Or maybe the intersection between people who got in and people who post here is an empty set. Idk.

TPB - To the Accepted with March 13 deadline: Does your offer include a tuition waiver and/or stipend? Thanks! TPB: Offer comes with full funding for four years.

TPB: Congratulations! Would you mind telling us when you uploaded the course information? A few days ago, some applicants received an email from Dr. Eraslan stating that they have not finalized the second round review. I am wondering if they have created different polls of applications, and they are still reviewing the materials uploaded on 16 Feb.

I had a video conference with Prof. Eraslan and have been admitted with full funding.

TPB: The wl email was sent by Econ PhD Program Coordinator along with a letter signed by John Bound (Director of Admissions). Hope this helps.

TPB: Can you tell me who sent you the email about wl?

TPB: There wasn't any information on the depth of the waitlist, where I stand or anything regarding students who haven't received an email. They just said that since the deadline for current admits to make a decision is April 15th, it could be after that date before I would get a final answer.

Has anyone received any updates from this school? Any ideas about their potential date of decisions?

"As of 02/29/2020 the status of your application is Update Pending." I guess decision are coming soon.

To people who got into UW-Madison, has the decision about added fellowship funding (that would eliminate the need for TAship in the first year) been given out? Or, will that come later into the admissions process?

Has anyone heard back from the school?

TPB: Does it say how long is the wait list? How many students have received it. Any other news about students who haven't heard anything from them?
