Just logged into the application portal and saw that my application was marked as unsuccessful. No email, no notice, no explanation—just a silent rejection. Some kind of feedback would’ve been nice—especially after putting so much effort into it.

Yeah, this one stung. There's multiple professors who have worked with an obscure author my research focuses on, so I was really looking forward to the opportunity to study under them. :( 1a/0w/0i/6p
