TTPB: I completely agree with you that they are very unprofessional. But when did you see the cs admits. I have been following yocket and gradcafe, but only a few were provided admits and the next rejection wave came on 6-9 May.

In the TAMU AIS portal for MS CS can anyone see two fields under "Documents Required for ADMISSION", namely "COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT FROM UNKNOWN INSTITUTION" and "$90 INTL APPLICATION FEE". I got the UIN on Saturday 9th May. There are no letters other than the acknowledgment receipt from engcas.

Did anyone get their result from TAMU after receiving UIN around 9May? I don't really understand what they are upto, since it's mostly a reject as they have already given a lot of admits which were all notified by mail. If it turns out that it's all rejects in next wave, it's going to be so unprofessional, making admit decisions around mid March and then waiting till mid may for rejects.

TTPB: Did you receive the rejection on the website or a mail? Moreover did you have an interview?

TTBP: I had applied to CMU (4 programs), UIUC, UCLA, UCSD, GTech, UBC and UTornoto. Tough luck especially with my offer getting rescinded. Since UBC's MSc is thesis based, they give a lot of importance to LoRs and research exp. You could try to publish at top conferences on your own and get an LoR that speaks about your ability to perform research in an academic setting. Try to get 2 LoRs from academia + 1 from work/intern for UBC

I submitted my application in December and still have not received anything from the Institute. Is there anyone else who still haven't received a decision from UBC?

Damn from all 7 unis. That is ridiculous. What are they actually looking in a profile? I am really curious to know about it.

2 ML Research Internships, 2 ML Engineer Internships, LoRs from Google and IISc. Several awards and hackathon wins. 3 publications. I don't know what went wrong. Got a reject from all 7 unis I applied to. Having a very difficult time handling the 7 rejects and job offer getting rescinded

If anybody recieves any decision from UBC be it a rejection or acceptance. Please do let us know about it.

how many MSCS students do they accept in one term? Those already admitted seems like a mixture of MCS and MSCS

I applied for thesis-based MSc. My profile is as follows (I try to present as much details as I can): - Held position of TA for 6 distinct courses - Participated in 5 research projects - 1 under review paper in a Q1 journal and 2 under preparation papers - Last 2 years GPA: 19.51/20 | Overall GPA: 19.43/20 - 2 Strong LOR and one unknown status (I mean I didn't read it, so I don't know what he wrote) LOR from 3 different countries - Ranked 6th in the Partner Robot challenge of World Robot Summit 2018 - Ranked 1st in class - A reward with a considerable amount that shows I was among the top 11 students in the whole university - IELTS: 7.5 | No GRE (I thought that without a GRE score I can't get admission, but now I know it is possible.
