Computer Science Masters Graduate School Admission Results

To the poster below, I am thinking about mailing them if I do not hear from them by the end of this week. Have you mailed them or spoken to anyone about it? Any idea whether something like this has happened previously?

When would UIUC send out results for masters program? I saw just one admit here earlier. Last year, they were out with all admits by now. Or should it be implied that not hearing till now is rejection. Please share if someone has any info.

TTPB: I have the same question, I applied for the M.S. Computer Science (research-oriented, not the professional MCS) on Dec 15th, haven't heard anything so far. Last year there were already lots of decisions and people posted about being invited to a welcome nights. Now I don't even see that many acceptances and almost no posts here, which is weird.

Applied to ML track. 1 paper in Top Conference

Thesis track. Email said that I’ll receive the offer letter in a few days.

To the Columbia admits below - many congratulations! Have they mentioned a date of acceptance for the admit to you, like they did to the other admits last week?

To the IITB civil undergrad poster: did you apply for regular MS or with concentration in DS or security?

I have the same situation with u. No feedback st all. I think it is reasonable to contact poi. Pleaz share with us if poi reply.

Email says I have been recommended for admission and the official letter will be sent in a couple of business days. No mention of the deadline by which I have to make a decision about the offer. Undergrad from BITS Pilani, India. Undergraduate thesis, summer internship in Germany and good LoR's. Have an offer from CMU MCDS. Very much confused between the two.

Is there anyone that didn't get the CertiFile on applyweb update?

Has anyone been notified about their status for gates scholarship?

My rejection email from CMU MSCS reads '... we decided not to admit you, based mainly on our belief that you will be better served by the other program ... '. It also congratulates me for getting 'accepted to a [some other] masters program at Carnegie Mellon'. However I only applied to MSML and MSCS, and my application in MSML is waitlisted. Does this mean that I got admit to MSML? I have heard no update from MSML. Anyone else got this email?

To the post below, No I didn't try to contact them and haven't heard of such happenings earlier. Please do post their reply when you receive it. I too will try to mail them.

Indian Undergrad, no research experience, 3 years work experience from a top 5 Silicon Valley company.

The Certifile thing has been present since the starting. I dont think its anything to worry about, especially with regards to international students
