MFA Graduate School Admission Results

Has anyone waiting on composition heard yet? I feel like we should know by now, based on past responses... What portal are people finding their decisions in?

Expected this. Was hiding in my Spam folder, as well. Oh well. 3a/0w/8r/1p (but probably another rejection lol)

To the person below asking about the MFA on Composition, I also still have not heard about my results. I know it should be out any time now... It's taking too long and the national graduate school decision thing is already on April 15..

Application status changed last night. Got the email this morning. Acceptance Letter coming in the mail with more information.

After being waitlisted in March 2018, I was offered acceptance to the MFA Fiction program today. Accepted and very excited.

I happened to check the Web site: "decision has been made." I have not received an official e-mail and none of my e-mails to the program throughout this process were answered. I also had to prove I was a US citizen early on, which has never happened in my life. Needlessly frustrating admissions process at Alabama.

still waiting for funding... i know folx with multiple offers have decisions to make, but as soon as you know you're declining, could you notify umass? not losing hope over here yet...

Notification went up on the portal yesterday, got a form email today. I've had a pitch accepted for an anthology that I'll be working on this spring and summer, so I'm less bummed than I might have been. Congrats to everyone who made it!

Generic grad school rejection letter. Program coordinator told me a month ago decisions would be posted soon, yet nothing until now. Poor communication from art dept when UW Madison makes decisions in less than a month for many more applicants. UWM only admits around 9 students. I have advanced art skills, a stellar portfolio, juried art awards,p and contacts already in this department. This school focuses on contemporary art so would not have been a good fit for me, as I excel in skilled figural paintings and do not care for abstract ideas and minimalist "art". No loss from such a biased and poorly run department that plays favorites. Never sure how faculty can truly judge skill when the grad students admitted glue junk on a canvas and apparently that's more showing of skill than actual drawing/ painting to life proportions.
