MFA Graduate School Admission Results

Still waiting if there will be slots. :( I got accepted to NYU last Feb.15 though.

To those wondering about Camden -- I got an email the night of March 1st from Pat Rosal, which was followed up with a phone call from a faculty member in my genre last week. There was no pre-admittance interview this year. It sounds like 5 have been accepted in each genre. I hope this helps!

I was sitting on my bed brushing my teeth when I noticed the email. Skimmed for the rejection and instead found myself (kindly) waitlisted and began sobbing (while foaming toothpaste). I don't care if nothing comes of this and the offer stagnates in waitlist-limbo. I'm shocked they've even considered me. Thank you UA Fayetteville for the ego boost. I needed it.

Got a nice email informing me I’m in the top 10 applicants and waitlisted! Hoping this goes well!

If Rutgers Camden accepted 5 applicants to each genre, they are done with acceptances, as I believe 5 new students in each genre is their target. Oh well.

Got accepted through email but Mills is way too expensive with out extra financial aid. Hoping to hear from UMass Boston fully funded MFA program soon!

Rejected from IWW with a handwritten note that said: “Beautiful prose.” This one stung because as part of my writing sample, I sent them the first 60 pages of my novel (which I had never shown to anyone outside of friends and family). I suppose that at least is some feedback or semblance that they liked it. Waiting to hear back from 3 more programs. Let’s see how it goes. What a comfort and camaraderie this board has been. Good luck to those still waiting to hear and get confirmations.

Got rejected :( I am a trojan undergrad though.

I got accepted into columbia chi around march 1st, but today I got an email that I received the graduate award for partial tuition funding!! this was my top choice (to work with jenny boully) and i'll be at 'admitted student day' next week to maybe chat about funding more before i accept lol. see some of y'all there? p.s. still waiting to hear back from rutgers/camden, but i'm assuming it's probably rejection. i'm also still waiting to hear back from alabama.
