Biostatistics, University Of Arizona Ä° was admitted into the school of public program in Biostatistics. I was sent a link to apply for funding and scholarships. I have other offer from the University of South Florida for phd in mathematics ( Statistics). Which do you think I should go for in terms of standard of living because I seems Tampa Florida is more expensive to live than Arizona.

Medical Physics, University Of Florida Applied with 3 year of research in physics, master’s in medical physics, submitted an abstract, 11th rejection overall. Email did not seem as generic as a lot of rejections, which was nice. I have 2 schools left to hear from, probably the end of the road for me.

Economics, University Of Florida Accepted off the waitlist, very generous offer package in Florida. Prof. Romano is a very nice person! I would go if I did not have another dominant offer. Kindly declined. GL to others who are waiting.

Physics And Astronomy, University Of Texas At Austin I have a Master's with a cgpa 3.98. Physics GRE 990/990 with 95% percentile, and GRE 322/340. I have two research papers in theoretical high-energy physics. However, I want to work in theoretical condensed matter physics. UT Austin told me they don't have a position for theoretical CMP and offered for the experimental. So I am gonna turn down this offer. I got a total of 8 admissions, UT Austin, U of Florida, Rice U, Colorado Boulder, TAMU, UTK, NCSU, and U of Alabama. Only TAMU, UTK, and U of Alabama offered me theoretical condensed matter physics. Finally, I decided to go with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Happy to have a position in my desired field.

Human Factors And Applied Cognitive Psychology, University Of Central Florida Literally when I was down for an interview, the interviewer saw me (42 year old with a cane) and immediately said he wasn't taking students. You don't bring someone down just to have that happen. So this is not a surprise.

Philosophy, University Of Florida currently discussing other funding options and seeing if I can be accepted w/o GTA. anyone who doesn't care for their GTA at UF should please highly consider another university with better funding-- I'll be so grateful
