Got a tremendously kind email from the Graduate Director letting me know I was high on the waitlist, but the deadline for first-choice candidates passed on 4/15, meaning I was officially rejected. Insane that it took so long for them to reach out, but the Director informed me that the department was only permitted to admit SEVEN students, and it was the highest pool of applicants the History Department had ever had there. He complimented my research work and dossier and encouraged me to apply next year. Rough application year, but good lord does it feel good just to be waitlisted from Cornell.

Emailed for news on waitlisted application. No email reply but an update was made to my portal which showed a rejection. GPA is MA. Disappointing.

Was told they had 3x the applicants than usual. Was told to try a non degree course and then apply again.

Partial tuition waiver and stipend. Interview notification: March 19. Interview: March 23.

email that said to check portal, kinda disappointed connected with faculty and had excellent research fit. I kinda expected tho seeing as how it’s very late in the game to get an acceptance.

Got waitlisted. If anyone got accepted and are not planning on going please decline your offer because I would really like to go!
