4.0 is for two grad degrees, fingers crossed that I get off the waitlist!!!!

This is the second time that I applied for this program. The first time I did in 2020 I got got waitlisted. After not being offered admissions I decided to pursue an MA degree at UChicago to better my chances and it worked! I have also applied for the Socio-Cultural Anthropology department three times including this year. I was interviewed and haven't heard back yet, but the Anthro-History program is my priority choice. For all those who did not make it, if you truly believe this is what you are meant to do, don't give up!

Rejected without interview

Applied to the population studies track. Not invited to interview. Anyways, it was an ok fit overall, faculty works on very interesting things. Conclusion: they ain't ready for this jelly. Sending love to fellow rejected peeps

MA GPA is 3.95... i am now sick of waiting and being used all the money i have for 9 schools that reject me one by one.. i do not know how to handle this

99 problems, but deciding where to go ain't one. 3r/0w/0a, applied to 6 schools. 3.9 in major (anthro) GPA and research exp.

Ignore interview. Has anyone heard from McGill Sociocultural?

Received email form DGS with whom I'd interviewed in early January

Notified over Zoom

POI reached out suggesting I enter consideration for their direct-entry PhD program, AKA PhD1. Not entirely sure if this means I am more likely to be accepted.
