USC MS program is a cash cow. It's not even that good. They make a shit ton of money from international students and I heard students struggle to enroll in classes because they are always full. Don't waste your hard earned money on an education that is available online for FREE. I reject you USC.

Thought I'd be getting a spring admit. Guess I won't be in debt anymore.

Got waitlisted in May, the wait was too long and after all this waiting, I got this email.

TTPB: I sent 7 emails to check my status during the season. I got the same template as below. WTF. Thank you for your email and application to Columbia Engineering! Application decisions are still being made as applications are being reviewed. Once a decision regarding your application is rendered, you will be notified promptly. Let us know if you have any further questions.

TTPB: Tried contacting the admissions email, but did not get a response.

Has anyone contacted the department? Do they have any further updates regarding the date that they will be sending out decisions?

Hi everyone, I have a gre score of 318(166q,152v,4awa). I am targeting osu in fall 2021, should I give my gre again? I want to apply to ms cs

All this waiting is making me extremely anxious. I mean they should realize that making applicants wait for sooooo long without any update is seriously agonizing. I bet every other university had already released admission results or at least still keep in contact with their applicants.... This is just terrible!

Another week of silence! Ugh!

I did say not to read between the lines XD But there is a probability. Also, waitlist letter is so vague and the lack of clarity of it, one cannot determine the outcome. Some say waitlist is a spring admit and there are other rumours like USC doesn't even maintain a waitlist. I have spent the past couple of weeks researching about it and there are wild waitlist stories. In the end, the outcome has the same probability as the toss of a coin. You got to wait through it...no one knows anything. For me closure was accepting the defeat and keeping hopes all time low. I have one weakness in my profile that can be a deal-breaker. If you have some weak points in your profile, ask yourself, Is USC willing to ruin their stats just for you? If the answer No, you know very well whether to wait or not. In the end have strength fellow, I know it is difficult but we can't do anything. Best of Luck ;)

TTPB: Couple of days back, I talked to one of the Viterbi Staff. It was all random....they said being waitlisted partially means that to let you know that your application is not forgotten. I don't want to read between the lines but it seems like they got a lot of applications this year and they just waitlisted everyone whose application they couldn't reach/read. Now, this may not be the truth but this is what I feel.

They said that there is no available spaces in the program. Very disappointed after 5 months' waiting.

TTPB: Still waiting for decision after being waitlisted. I honestly do not have high hopes at this point, and I guess we will have a huge wave of decisions after the 15th. However USC seems to be pretty generous with extensions. Also, I can imagine there are not a LOT of people left who have not responded about to their admissions decision yet. Either they accepted a better offer, or just took USC (maybe with a deferral) at this point.

Does anyone know when the deadline is for admitted students to accept the offer (if there is one)? I'm still waiting as well.

To those waitlisted, did anyone get their results back? Admitted students are supposed to choose their options by 15 June right?

TTPB: You can still apply for the Spring 2021 application cycle if you did not get into the Fall 2020 cohort. It only makes sense if you have made significant changes to your application.

Does anyone know if you do not get into the Fall cohort, whether you could apply for Spring 2021 in October?
