Dracola used to be called Navel but it tuned out dat he was kidnapped at birth and his real family were vampires. They dyed in a car crash. Navel converted to Satanism and he went goth. He was in Slitherin now. He was wearing a black Wurped t-shirt, black jeans and shoes and black hair wif red streekz in it. We kall him Dracula now.

Got an email that was vaguely conveying that I am on the waitlist, by inviting me to a virtual visit day, and saying they'd like to accept me if space permits. This did not seem like a personally written email.

I applied to Duke super last minute, 2 hours before the deadline on March 15th. Got an email from the department chair on the 16th saying that he liked my application and story, and unofficially congratulating me. On the 18th, I received an admit. Unbelievable!

Ignore WL. Anybody else still waiting to hear from Duke and UCLA? I'm assuming UCLA is a rejection.

Quite sad about this rejection

Is there a group for Duke admitted students? If yes I would like to connect with fellow admitted students!

Waitlisted on 1/26 - wasn't feeling very optimistic about getting off the waitlist, but I received a very kind email from the DGS this morning offering admission into the program. Overjoyed; I was rejected from this same program in my first admission cycle and this is definitely my #1. Focused on Black American lit and Black Southern geographies. Best of luck to others on the waitlist!

waited for a looooong time

No information about funding

[Ignore interview please] Has anyone NOT heard anything from Duke? I'm in this situation and nothing on my portal either. Is this an IR or unofficial waitlist? If you have any information, please add a comment! Thanks!

Did anyone hear about visit day from Duke? I am curious whether it is in-person or virtual.

Checked portal. No email or word on fundings yet.
