Was admitted last year, withdrew due to COVID and funding. Re-applied with supervisor's support, same proposal but more polished, improved essays, new publications and awards. Guess an improved application wasn't good enough this year! Found out last week when I asked for an early decision, so this email hurts less. Frustrating to say the least, but there are no guarantees in life.

Really appalled at how they made us wait 12 weeks just for an email at 2am, but I guess when you're Oxford, you think you can do anything. Ah well, I'm off to Columbia instead.

I knew I was accepted for a couple days now but I got the formal offer today (nothing on funding or the college yet).

Received a PhD offer last week but learned today that I am rejected for funding.

Comp Sci Degree. 5 years of industry experience. Rejected. Interviewed at another program in Cambridge, will wait for that result.

They told me I was welcome for application, even had a seemingly favourable interview, still rejected. Avoid.

Holy damn can‘t believe it

Relieved, but I can't believe it took so long to tell us (and I've heard nothing on funding yet). Oxford, if you're reading this, fix your graduate admissions system; it's terrible!
