- Was admitted last year, withdrew due to COVID and funding. Re-applied with supervisor's support, same proposal but more polished, improved essays, new publications and awards. Guess an improved application wasn't good enough this year! Found out last week when I asked for an early decision, so this email hurts less. Frustrating to say the least, but there are no guarantees in life.
