Yes I went to the preview day in January and interviewed with PIs during the visit.

To post regarding Berkeley PhD below, Congrats! When did you have your interview with PI? Did you visit as well?

MEng in bioengineering. Standard rejection, a lot of candidates who were qualified sorry we couldn't give you a spot.

Accepted to Product Design, no funding unfortunately

I applied to the MS/PhD program and I heard nothing from them as well. Hope is low haha

Has anyone who applied for MS in Mechanical Engineering heard anything yet? M.Eng people have been hearing and so have PHDs.. Should I take it as a ding at this point?

I think that almost every applicant received the same email asking us to transfer the application to M.Eng. I ignored it and haven't heard from Berkeley since then. Still wondering if anyone has got into the PhD program. Going to contact them after spring break.

No funding... but excited!

I was told that my application is good to M.Eng program and I was told that I will hear from the university in early March. as I understand other applicants received the email on March 10th except me!

I don't get the point from asking everyone to transfer their applications from PhD to M. Eng degree. I thought I was the only one as I was told that my profile would specifically fit in the M. Eng program and I accepted to transfer. However, I received an email telling me that I was accepted to M. Eng with 30% grant.

Didn't expect to get through since my profile was not aligned with their expectations, applied nonetheless to see my chances.

UC Berkeley undergrad majoring in Applied Math and Statistics. 1.5 yr work experience in IT. Admitted with 20k grant.
