Letter with more info to follow (hopefully re: funding).

I called to ask -- unofficial response sent by email. Congrats to those who were admitted!

Asked for status via e-mail, and they replied with an attachment of the rejection letter :(

Since I know there are several on the board like myself that are awaiting decisions on this I thought I'd share my findings. After speaking with their admissions director today I learned the following: They offered 6 spots (about a month ago). Naturally, those people have all been notified. They're still making decisions on the potential of offering others (if the funding is available or if one of the admitted students elects not to enroll) so it does not mean you're out of the running - but regardless of the decision, they generically quoted me that it would be "a few more weeks before I can expect to receive any notification." I hope this helps. I know it's frustrating. One other thing - they said that they notified the first group via Email

Got a letter in the mail...

Apparently, they really aren't fond of out of field students according to their carbon copy letter.

Apparently they withheld a lot of applications because they didnt want to reject tons of people at once. He noted in his email that he understands that applications take a lot of time and effort, and yet he spelled my first name wrong (very common American name) and had at least two typos in the body text. Apparently the time needed to put together an application on our part does not warrant the time necessary to proofread an email on theirs.

Accepted 3 weeks after submittal. Still awaiting financial aid/scholarship info.
