DREAM SCHOOL! ChemE background(undergrad ranked #4 in the US). Exchange semester at ETH in the materials science department, did a masters project and got LOR from a professor in the department. Two other LORs are from professor at my home university(honor's senior thesis) and from a German professor(summer internship in his lab). Decent letter of motivation. Average GPA and GRE (was stressing hard about this)! But I talked to the student admissions/department secretary at ETH when I went back to Switzerland to visit my bf (PhD at ETH) and got some confidence back^^ 2 years of research experience & 2 papers in process. SO HAPPY! Good luck to everyone else and believe in yourself

I got the offer 2:00 pm CEST. The mail said the following: "We are pleased to inform you that you have been granted admission to the Master's programme Computer Science MSc at ETH Zurich for the coming autumn semester. The official admission letter including further details will be sent to you by post. Please understand that we cannot answer any questions before you have received our letter. However, if the letter does not reach you within the next four weeks, please contact us. The application form to accept your place of study will be enclosed with the admission letter. We look forward to soon welcoming you as one of our students. Kind regards Elisabetta Miceli"

One Accepted Tier2 Conference Paper. 2 Submitted Top Conference Paper. All of them is first-author. One strong RoL letter, two from Tsinghua and Peking respectively. Rank 8 in 985/211. I feel so depressed after receiving reject e-mail. Hope future better.

First of the many expected rejects. Non-CS undergrad, no papers but 4 years of experience in AI/ML. Good LORs. Want to switch to CS but I know it's going to be tough. Best of luck to others!

Rejected. Both direct PhD and MS.

GRE (169Q, 166V, 5AWA). Undergrad from IIT Hyderabad, India (GPA: 9.57/10). Two years of undergraduate research experience. One summer research intern at Purdue University. One co-author publication is JPCC. Loads of relevant extra-curricular activities. Haven't heard anything regarding my ESOP application though. Fingers crossed.

Physics undergraduate at a Chinese university ranking around 300 worldwide, decent GPA (87/100), international research internships in a related field, done some Coursera courses on DS, excellent GRE (which I believe most applicants have), strong LoRs. A bit disappointed but not too surprised, guess they only want students with crazy good GPA. Withdraw button disappeared 4 hours before the rejection email. Good luck with everyone who hasn't heard from ETH.

Kind of expected. Low GPA, no publications. Graduated from one of the top 5 IITs.

TTPB: Withdraw button disappearing has nothing to do with acceptance or rejection. It just means that they have started processing your application. (These are all assumptions following the previous years patterns)

Rejected by DS, but luckily accepted by Stat. My background is a bit more focused on math than on CS.

Withdraw button on eApply disappeared today; Results are around the corner! Kinda losing my sanity.
