Undergrad from Top 5 IIT. I guess my GPA was slightly low (8.3/10). A bit sad but got an offer from Harvard in a similar program, so it saves me the pain of choosing one over another. Good luck to those who are admitted. it is a really nice program.

My major is computational biology, and I have done some related researches. So that this program is well matched. Besides, I have some experience in synthetic biology and bioengineering. Since this program is managed by the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering, so I think this program is especially suitable for me.

I am still waiting for decision. I don't know why they sent a lot of rejects on Feb.21, and give AD a few per day. Maybe they would send rejects for the rest people who did not get AD on mid-May

TTPB: Is it necessary to have been interviewed for the Direct Doctorate program in order to be still considered?

Guess I did not meet prerequisites, and they value them really highly. Make sure to go through them before applying :)

SSSad. The online ms requirement do not have specific limitation. Pharmaceutical Science background. Suppose not high GPA and not have related bioinformatics research experience. Still waiting for the pharm sci MS results from eth, hope to hear some good news.

Undergrad: Cell and Molecular Biology major and biochemistry minor at a top 50 university in asia. Took one introductory C++ programming course and 2 biostatistics course. No other experience in programming or math. One year research experience in structural biology, several months in computational drug discovery, and iGEM gold medal. 4th author in a brief report in renowned journal in the field. I think the main reason is my low GPA (3.48/4). Thought that my major GPA (3.67/4) may be able to save me but it didn't.

Italian student from good university (not a polytechnic). High GPA, 29.3/30. Good recommendation letters, no research experience (I hadn't started my thesis yet when I applied), some CS-related extracurricular experiences. Absolutely terrible SOP, but as one can guess it has little to no weight. Obviously no GRE since it's not needed for European students.
