SCREAMED. First choice school. I'll go if I get in.

Just emailed the director of the program today about decision release estimation. Here are her exact words. "Hello, Sorry for the wait. It will probably be another 2 weeks." So it looks like early April/super-late March is our best bet.

I turned own UNO because lack of funding. It was all rather funny, really; I emailed the program to give me some update on funding, I got a reply back from the director (Neil)to basically give them my best offer elsewhere to see if they could match it, I replied and he promptly told me he could not match what I was offered at another program. I thanked him for his transparency and said my good-byes. He was very kind thorough, but I am a single mother with two small kids so I must consider funding, unfortunately. I believe UNO is an up-and-coming program and New Orleans is amazing, so don't be afraid to accept.

I've just turned down my offer with UNO. In case you were on the wait list...

In response to the person asking where I saw acceptances: on a FB group 2 people reported acceptances. Then on mfayears 2018 notifications, someone posted a call from them for Fiction (a different person from the other 2 on FB). Maybe someone should call Irvine and ask if they are done notifying? Then we can all move on officially.

Where is Notre Dame? The clock is quickly running out

2a/4r/1p - Applied here because the app was free. I think they saw through my BS!

Received a lovely email telling me I was on a waitlist for the 5 fiction spots. 1a/6w(!!!)/3r/3p.

Nice E-mail stating there is a short waitlist. We will see. 2a/2r/2w/4p

Received email this morning; standard reject. Also applied to FSU, Nevada-Las Vegas, and Ohio University (not OSU). All for PhD (Fiction). I know FSU let admits know weeks ago; anyone heard from Las Vegas or Ohio?

I've seen 2-3 acceptances for Irvine fiction in different places this year (around March 2-8). So not sure if that means they are done notifying acceptances...Anyone receive a wait list notification yet? I wish they would let us know soon.

Does anyone still have "submitted" as their status on the portal? I haven't heard a peep, and I'm sure at this point I probably won't be admitted. Is there anyone else who has yet to hear something? 1a/2w/3r/2p

I'm off the wait-list

They were taking too long to decide; I'm not even going to consider my pending apps into my decision. 2a/0w/3r/2p. I only pray that the school I want to go to gives me a GA ship!! 😖

email to check website

Man, I was really holding out hope for you, UVic. Standard sort of form letter from Graduate Studies. 2a/0w/6r/4p

Did anyone else hear from Georgia College for the fiction program? I saw one notification yesterday on here and it's been making me sick, because that's where I want to go!!!

Got the EXACT same email about being high on the waitlist and can't handicap my odds yada yada and now feeling not so high on the waitlist. Good luck!
