Notified that I was on the waiting list. This is my top choice. For those who got in: Congrats! But if you are planning on not attending, can you decline the offer as soon as you can, please please please.

TTPB : Any ideas on what's going on with people who have not been rejected? I think we can all email together and ask them whether we are on the waitlist ? I was also wondering when is there open house? I expect they would make us an offer before that if we get accepted.

Currently getting a MS in Physics. 1 paper in submission to ApJ, another in the works. 6 conference presentations. At least 1 very strong LOR. 3 workshops attended between HPC and Astrophysics. Teaching experience.

EPP Experimental. Interviewed with professor. 1 REU, 3 years of research in undergrad. Full time research for one year.

I got also rejection. Expected as UCSC doesn't prefer international student. The poster below: In my opinion, it's not your fault, neither the department is too competitive. I wish if I applied after checking the past acceptances. UCSC doesn't accept an international student at all I think, they should mention it on their website. Just check the past acceptances in the gradcafe, it is very rare (1-2 student in past 6 years!!!).
