- I got also rejection. Expected as UCSC doesn't prefer international student. The poster below: In my opinion, it's not your fault, neither the department is too competitive. I wish if I applied after checking the past acceptances. UCSC doesn't accept an international student at all I think, they should mention it on their website. Just check the past acceptances in the gradcafe, it is very rare (1-2 student in past 6 years!!!).
