To the poster below: I'm the same person who had the interview back in February. I haven't heard anything since. Emailed me POI yesterday to see if they could tell me when I might find out - will keep you posted!

International applicant with BA and MA from US institution. 3.95 undergraduate GPA and 3.96 graduate GPA. Low to average GRE. Great recommendations, 5+ years of professional experience, several academic awards and two publications. Received rejection via e-mail to check application status. Best of luck to those who got in!

I submitted the application after 01/15 the priority deadline. Right now I have not heard anything from the admission office. Anybody know when do they usually notify you if you are not on the priority?

No email - logged into portal to find link to decision. Having gone through the process three times now I must agree with the previous poster - if the Georgetown Government Department hasn't contacted you by late February then acceptance is unlikely. My first try I was rejected, second try waitlisted, third try rejected again. Recommendations from three Georgetown Government Department professors, a previous graduate degree from Georgetown (with a 3.94 GPA), an earlier graduate degree in Anthropology (also with high marks and a political focus of research). Luckily I did gain admittance to other high quality programs, but having previously attended Georgetown for graduate study I will miss the campus and excellent staff and resources. No email (and it’s not in Spam) - logged in to website and found a link to the result letter posted at the bottom. Despite whatever they may say, Georgetown Government follows a very clear pattern every year: acceptances go out in early- to mid-February; waitlist notifications in the first week of March. Then bad news comes out slowly from then on. Your brain might try to come up with alternate explanations for the silence but this is the reality.

TPB: the visit day is on Apr 5. I was told about waitlist last week.
