Having gone through the process three times now I must agree with the previous poster - if the Georgetown Government Department hasn't contacted you by late February then acceptance is unlikely. My first try I was rejected, second try waitlisted, third try rejected again. Recommendations from three Georgetown Government Department professors, a previous graduate degree from Georgetown (with a 3.94 GPA), an earlier graduate degree in Anthropology (also with high marks and a political focus of research). Luckily I did gain admittance to other high quality programs, but having previously attended Georgetown for graduate study I will miss the campus and excellent staff and resources. Good luck to everyone admitted and extra good luck to those currently on the waitlist!
