I called to ask if Purdue had already sent out all acceptance letters. I was told no, Purdue will continue to share decisions through April 15.

Sunday afternoon phone call. 6 spots for poetry this year. Grateful to be accepted after being waitlisted last year.

YAY! 1a/1w/2r/3p.

I received an odd email from them saying that they wouldn't forward my application to my program until I sent them additional materials. When I went into the portal to check what materials they were asking for, the form told me that they were waiting on my final transcript. I sent them my official transcript when I was applying, but I haven't graduated yet lol and won't until May 7, so I don't know what to do about that. I got into two other programs, so I'm not heartbroken or anything, just a little befuddled.

Same as the other two posters below--a complimentary but vague email that let me know I was on the waitlist without really using that word. But it's okay!

They have been very kind so far and great about answering all my questions. Got an official acceptance email, then a second where we scheduled a phone call, then a few more from other faculty members. I'm thrilled!

Strange email, but does seem to be a waitlist even if it doesn't use that word. "Our faculty admired your writing and we hope to be able to offer you admission and a Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA). Unfortunately, I cannot do so at this time, as our policy is only to admit students to whom we can offer full funding." Fingers crossed!
