TTPB: Could you share the field of your interest and your profile, if you don't mind? And when you did you have interview?

I managed to get in contact with a professor in the admission committee. He said that the acceptance rate of the offers they sent is high enough for them to have a full class next fall. He says it is unlikely for them to send out offers for those in the wait-list. Please reject your UCD offer if you have a better one. This is our last chance. Thank you all anyways.

TTPB: What? They won't accept students this fall? What about my $125? Feels like I am duped!

TTPB: I have accepted my offer at UC Davis, and I have emailed Angela multiple times over the past month to tell her, but she hasn't replied. This is just to point out that waitlisted people aren't the only one's who aren't getting replies. I hope you get your answer soon.

I was waitlisted on March 9th at UC Davis with 47 other students. I have not heard any reply yet from UCD. Please reject your UCD offer if you have a better one. Please do it. It might help.

This was a long journey. Dropped out from a best school in India due to low GPA. Somehow joined a terrible government college. Still poor GPA. (58/100). Later joined MSc in some shitty college. Still poor GPA (7/10). But worked my ass off on research projects. Finally after 4 rejection got into this. Not the dream college. But still for a student like me dreaming about dream colleges is just suicide. But Merced is the best thing I have now. Will be working in Biophysics. So dear all, please don't loose hope. US system is not perfect at all. there are many systematic problems in application process. Crawl if can't walk but keep moving-MLK.

Undergraduate. Several publications with 3 first/corresponding-author papers in Physical Review Journals. Recommended by "nobody"s in their eyes. And then, rejected.
