Ignore Status. Does anyone hear from this program? Are they recruiting PhD students this year? Hope insider share info.

Accepted two months ago, have declined. Good luck to every one

Is anyone accept by IUB today? Much appreciated.

I asked a Prof. at both of these universities and the prof. forwarded my email to the graduate co-ordinator but still haven't got any updates regarding my application. I basically told the Prof. that graduate co-ordinator is not responding so he tried to help me out by instructing them to respond but still they haven't responded yet. Even if it's a waitlist they can actually tell the situation to us, we should be able to know how much probability do we have to get selected or rejected. Very unprofessional.

Still haven't received any response from these two universities. It's 14th April almost and they are still reluctant to inform the status of my application. If anyone has received any information from them in this week then please comment.

I'm still on the waitlist and eager to be accepted... Is there anyone who is going to decline the offer from this program?

I have been told by the graduate co-ordinator that I am on the short-waitlist. I would request anyone who doesn't want to attend IU Bloomington and has better offer please decline their offer as soon as possible. This is my very last chance to get into a grad programme this year.

Waitlisted by email inquiry. I've been rejected everywhere else. Please reject if you have an offer and don't intend to go.

I have received an email starting with "My apologies for contacting you so late — could you please tell us whether you are still interested in us? Our offer would look like this: ...".

IU insider: Our department announced that the fund (stipend + tuition) will not be guaranteed beyond the fifth year. The students who will be in their sixth year this fall are very frustrated and are trying to find external funding. However, it was a last-minute notice, so most external funding sources' application deadlines have already passed. I strongly recommend that those who have received admission or are on the waitlist search for alternative programs. Not providing funding in the sixth year is very concerning. The department wants PhD students to graduate within five years, but this is impossible because our course load is too heavy. Our program is notorious for its heavy coursework. Including tool skill courses taken outside the department (which count for 9 credits), students need to complete 99 credits in the first four years. Please save yourself!

If you have better offer and don't intend to attend this university then please reject the offer as soon as possible. The department suits my research profile quite well. Please let them know as soon as possible.

16 Publications (1 Q1 journal publication), three years of working experience, IELTS 6.5, Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering (Research Mode). I spoke with Professor, who said, "decision is given; wait for the mail from the university." However, rejected lastly. Never trust anyone except your luck for admission to US universities. I am confused and will never submit application to US universities. It's a waste of time and money.

Ignore status. Anyone knows about the situation? Thanks!
