Did anyone hear from this program yet?

Personal email from the department chair and invitation to visit campus in March.

not surprised as sent email suggesting I apply for Masters Program, however, I have no intention of paying them to reject me in two years so lol no, maybe try again for a postdoc as I have offers from other institutions. But the rejection does have some grounds as my background is a double major in chemistry and biology and not in engineering (as my undergrad was too small to have one) but was hoping my 4 semesters of independent full-time research (in the states and abroad), and AMGEN summer research fellowship (a program UC B and UCSF participate in) would counterbalance my app. But as it is Berkely they probably wanted someone with more of a traditional engineering background lol.

Triple major in applied math, mathematical economics, and management from an upper tier private school. No academic research experience but three years experience in data science on an r&d team. Admitted off the waitlist! Got informal email from faculty.
