- not surprised as sent email suggesting I apply for Masters Program, however, I have no intention of paying them to reject me in two years so lol no, maybe try again for a postdoc as I have offers from other institutions. But the rejection does have some grounds as my background is a double major in chemistry and biology and not in engineering (as my undergrad was too small to have one) but was hoping my 4 semesters of independent full-time research (in the states and abroad), and AMGEN summer research fellowship (a program UC B and UCSF participate in) would counterbalance my app. But as it is Berkely they probably wanted someone with more of a traditional engineering background lol.
