Just received an email from Program Director that no additional slots have opened up for Interview Weekend for individuals on the high alternate for admission list. The email said that they would review the pool of "high alternates" at the end of March and make their final decisions then.

To the person asking about hearing back from UF regarding "high alternate for admission", I was told I was on the high alternate but haven't heard anything. I sent an email a few weeks ago asking when I could expect to hear back, but never received a reply.

Has anyone on the high alternate for admission list for UF heard back, in either direction?

Is there anyone who still hasn't heard from FIT? I'm getting nervous

Feel that I can't be accepted since I didn't get interview invitations. Still feel upset because it's a top choice for me. Anyway congratulations to people admitted especially to the poster below who let me know the bad news at a early time:)

Interview date: Feb. 16

Inquired about application status and was told interview weekend just passed but those who didn't attend/weren't invited may still be under consideration, so again there's still hope!

In response regarding POI- The person I interviewed with informed me that all of the top applicants are basically divided randomly among faculty members to be called for interviews. They do not really assign you a mentor until you arrive on campus at the start of the semester. So the person you interview with may not be yor too pick but also may not be who you have to work with if admitted.
