Just got rejected from the DPhil in Information, Communication and the Social Sciences. A First Honours 96% undergrad, MPhil distinction and best award at Cambridge. 10 international publications, 4 conferences + co-organised my own one at Cambridge too, 2 book proposals, 2 years of research experience, 8.5 IELTS, 15 public articles, 5+ years of teaching experience. Competition is rough. Accepted into full PhD at Cambridge tho + applied for US universities.

Rejected without interview

Interview took place a week after notification. Was asked solely about my previous research.

Email direct from the professor. Had 2 interviews a week and a half apart, seemed to be due to scheduling issues between the 2 professors who would have been at one interview otherwise. Microsoft Teams

Interviewed for my course and for the Ertegun Graduate Scholarship by a faculty representative.

Ignore the waitlist. Haven't received anything (including interviews) after submitting the application.

First-Class Honours (top 5%) from Oxbridge. 2 workshop pubs. Research Internship in top 5 CS uni in the US. No communication so far. It's been 9 weeks, so assuming reject for now. Has anyone heard? (Please Ignore Waitlist!)
