MD, they told me they don't like to take MDs. expected

GPA is low. Everything else was solid. Applied through MIT.

Interview dates 2/17 or 2/18 with informal student social on 2/17

Phone interview with the PI on 1/5; Received official email invite 1/10

POI: called to offer me an interview. There is only one interview day on 2/10. Dinner w/ Faculty and graduate students the night before. The admission committee met earlier today so POIs will likely be making phone calls/emails over the next couple days.

Spoke with POI over the phone and he stated that he felt I was a great fit for his lab. He offered me admission right after the interview. I'm definitely going to accept.

POI emailed to say that I was a strong applicant and to ask preliminary questions to assess for overall lab and university fit. The questions were very similar to some phone/skype interviews that I have had. They informed me that the plan was to finish reviewing applications for their lab by the end of the week before sending out official invitations to interview day.

it's hard time for me. haven't receive any interview right now.

Received email about phone interview with POI for first week of January.

I just received the official no. Could they have sent it any later? They ignored my emails as well. I do not respect their admissions procedure. You'd figure $80 for the application would grant me a response to my emails. It's good to move forward. But Fck Yale for waiting so long.
