Got accepted but no interview. In the track of Computer Networking. International holding a Master Degree in related area from US institution.

Area: security. MS degree at prestigious university, Three strong LORs, one published paper and a conference poster.

TTPB: I am one of the admits below. All the below decisions were received on Friday, it's just that people are posting it late here.

To those posting UT Austin acceptances, anyone in theory/quantum computing?

Post below, from the posts below looks like only ML/AI (and maybe also security) departments sent out acceptances. We should wait till the next business day to know anything for sure.

Does anyone know what happens if a student doesn’t receive an e-mail from UT Austin? Does that mean that the student is not accepted? How does it work? PS: I am an international applicant and I am kind of getting worried.

Hi, I'm one of the admits to UT Austin in the ML/AI/CV field. I did not have any top tier conference publications, I only had a workshop paper + poster. I was not interviewed. My acceptance came as an email from the PhD Admissions Committee of the CS department, I did not have any contact with any professors at UT Austin. I mentioned Dhillon and Chaudhuri in my SOP though.

Got admit mail but the status on the portal has not been updated. Mailed graduate coordinator yesterday.

Good GPA, 2 first-author papers, good LORs.

Field: Security. Was interviewed on 7th Jan.

To the posters below, did you all have publications at topn tier conferences? ACL or CVPR or along those lines? It'd be great to know.
