- Hi, I'm one of the admits to UT Austin in the ML/AI/CV field. I did not have any top tier conference publications, I only had a workshop paper + poster. I was not interviewed. My acceptance came as an email from the PhD Admissions Committee of the CS department, I did not have any contact with any professors at UT Austin. I mentioned Dhillon and Chaudhuri in my SOP though.
