Accepted off the waitlist. Happy!

This is my last still-reviewing university. Hope to get happy news in a week.

Followed up on a previous email I had sent as I didn't hear back and MyFile still reads 'No Decision Yet'. No answer. I'm getting ghosted by York. Sigh. I'm assuming I got rejected, but I feel like it's not too much to ask to actually be told/notified in some shape or form rather than to just leave me hanging.

Just declined a fully funded offer. Hope it helps someone.

Any NYU tandon admit know what is the deadline to accept the offer? Email only states "as soon as possible"?

The total tuition cost for MSCS over 2 years is around $50k, so yes, I do have to pay tuition, but reduced. It doesn't make sense for the deadline to be on 15th April having only notified me on the 12th. They wouldn't give me 3 days to decide and not mention it in the email, right? Also, the deadline to accept for international students is stated as May 1st 2018 on this page: http://engineering.nyu.edu/admissions/graduate/admitted/graduate-tuition-deposit. Nevertheless, I am asking around and going to email the department as well.

I was also waitlisted on 29 of March, however even if I emailed them 2 days ago-again, nobody responded. really annoying and stressful

Notified by email from Graduate Program Director. MyFile was updated a day later. Funding package to arrive next week along with letter of acceptance via mail.

Sorry! I said Nov. 15th as the decision deadline, must have had a brain fart I meant APRIL 15th as in this Mon., so if wait list spots open you will hear any time after this Mon. The program starts end of Aug. Hope this helps sorry for any confusion!!

Wasn't recommended for PhD admissions but was offered an unfounded Master's admissions.

I called to ask if I was on the waitlist, and sadly was not. If you have not heard anything from them yet, give them a call. (All those that were accepted were contacted already, so this is just to know if you're on the waitlist.)

I do not know when the program starts but according to their academic calendar, all classes start end of August so I'd assume grad classes do as well! They are planning an orientation for sometime in June. Best of luck!

I meant do you get a tuition waiver? If not, how much tuition per semester or per year you need to pay? They said as soon as possible probably mean before April 15, because that is the national deadline for students to decide where they will go. They hope you can let them know as soon as possible so that other students will still have a few days before the deadline to decide.

This is just a note for future applicant so they are not blindsided. I am sorry, but this is by far the worst interview I have ever been to. The staff was not prepared for this interview at all. Just stuck 6 of us into a basement room. There was 8 prompts. You were given prompts on what to do given a situation. One talked about a a student being transgender, Spanish immigrant, homeless student, African American. You can see they were focusing on miniortiy students. I just didn’t like the staff, wasn’t welcoming and very rushed. Perhaps that was because we were the last round. If you ca afford another university or college or considering another program do so Queens college isn’t as good as they proclaimed it to be. Instead of discussing research and NASP the talked about graduate students having pizza parties and bar runs. Very unprofessional. Focus on research. And how your university/college creates strong and competitive students.
