- This is just a note for future applicant so they are not blindsided. I am sorry, but this is by far the worst interview I have ever been to. The staff was not prepared for this interview at all. Just stuck 6 of us into a basement room. There was 8 prompts. You were given prompts on what to do given a situation. One talked about a a student being transgender, Spanish immigrant, homeless student, African American. You can see they were focusing on miniortiy students. I just didn’t like the staff, wasn’t welcoming and very rushed. Perhaps that was because we were the last round. If you ca afford another university or college or considering another program do so Queens college isn’t as good as they proclaimed it to be. Instead of discussing research and NASP the talked about graduate students having pizza parties and bar runs. Very unprofessional. Focus on research. And how your university/college creates strong and competitive students.
