TTPB On acceptance/Rejection. Yes I have got accepted at MIT w a low GRE and academic score, they have still accepted me. But my friend, Irealize how hard it is when you face rejection. Last year I applied to 10 universities, and I was rejected by 8 and 2 wait listed (but rejected). This year I applied to 4, got acceptance from all. The point I am saying is, if you are destined you shall get to places you want to. Sometimes discoveries are not made in top places, it is in those uncanny places which give you comfort and motivate to fight for your passion. I can feel the pain but guys do not break your heart. FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAMS. However, i would be rejecting my MIT offer though (Joining CAL)

Ahhhh sorry for the confusion. I posted a copypasta from a different forum because so many people were being rejected by MIT; it was not meant as a serious response. However, I was indeed rejected and posted the correct GPA and GRE scores for record keeping so people could see that it is not academics or awards alone which determine admission. What you said is very true, and I agree with the statements you made (thanks for the well wishes). Best of luck to everybody for admissions!

im depressed. Wanna know why? Because i try hard as fuck to be nice to MIT, help them, and just be friends and act natural around them, and I never even get spared a passing glance. I just want to be noticed and feel like i'm appreciated. applicants who are way less attractive and way more awkward than me still get accepted. I'm like a little quiet, but i'm not even awkward, and i still get jack shit. Life is unfair. I just want to feel loved. maybe, just maybe, there's still a school out there for me that I just haven't found. Maybe i'm too impatient, and just am so lonely already in life that I haven't stopped to think if I should find a school (maybe harvard down the street) that makes me happy no matter how/when I think of them. But...what if there isn't that place and i'm destined to die alone? That path, to me right now, seems like the more plausible one and that's why i'm depressed. also im goldwater
